Digital News Report- The Santa Cruz Chocolate Festival is coming just in time for Valentines Day. The second annual Chocolate Festival will allow people to sample the best chocolate in Santa Cruz and the bay area and enjoy live music by the Michael Glick Trio. Vendors include Santa Cruz favorites such as Marini’s and Gelato Massimo, but many others such as XoBiotic’s Healthy Chocolate, Truffle Gateau from Sacramento, and many more.
“This year’s event promises to be bigger and better!” said Lorraine Margon. “We have 30 chocolate vendors this year, compared to just 17 last year. And the silent auction includes many chocolate-themed gift items, as well as a two-night stay at the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, and more.”
There will also be a silent auction which will include tickets to the Santa Cruz Film Festival, dinner for two at the Sierra Restaurant, a Hawaiian retreat for two, a chocolate gift lovers basket from Marini’s, and many more items. The event and auction will raise funds for re-entry Student Scholarships at UCSC.
The event will take place at the Cocoanut Grove at the Boardwalk on February 8th from 2:00-5:00pm. Prices varies by how much chocolate you want to same. It starts at $5 for 3 tasting, $10 for 8, and for the extreme chocolate lover $20 for 20 tastings. Parking is $10, but you can get a $5 discount with advanced ticket purchases
