Digital News Report- It has been confirmed that Actress Nicole Richardson has died as a result of her injuries from a ski accident on Monday. Alan Nierob, Liam Neeson’s publicist, said, “Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
Richardson was the daughter of British actress Vanessa Redgrave and the director Tony Richardson. She was born in London in 1963 and attended to Central School of Speech and Drama. She married Neeson in 1994. They have two sons, Micheál and Daniel.
She won a Tony Award for her role in Cabaret in 1999. She also starred in Nell, where she met Liam Neeson. She has starred in numerous other movies including the 1998 version of The Parent Trap, and many stage plays including A Streetcar Named Desire, Anna Christie, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Richardson was on a beginner’s slope at a ski resort just north of Montreal. She was with a ski instructor who insisted that she seek medical treatment. Her injuries were initially thought to be minor, but after about an hour she felt ill and was rushed to a hospital. She was flown to New York, where her family gathered by her side.
