Digital News Report – The New York Jets trailed the Cincinnati Bengals in the first quarter after Bengals QB Carson Palmer completed an 11-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Laveranues Coles. Coles used to play for the Jets.
But the Jets scored twice in the second quarter with a 39-yard touchdown run from rookie running back Shonn Greene. Later quarterback Mark Sanchez threw the ball to tight end Dustin Keller for a 45-yard touchdown. They never lost the lead after that.
The Bengals came back with a touchdown in 4th quarter, but it was not enough. Running back Thomas Jones ran the ball in for a 9-yeard touchdown.
Next week the Jets will play the San Diego Charger on Sunday.
