Digital News Report – Graco is recalling 1.5 million strollers due to reports of finger amputations. The recall affects three models including the Passage, Alano, and Spree.
The hinges were the problem. “The hinges on the stroller’s canopy pose a fingertip amputation and laceration hazard to the child when the consumer is opening or closing the canopy,” the company said in a statement.
The company has received seven reports of children placing their fingers in the canopy hinge mechanism while it was being opened or closed. There were five fingertip amputations and two lacerations.
The strollers were manufactured between 2004 and February 2008. Customers may have purchased these items at Babies “R” Us, Toys “R” Us, Kmart, Target, Burlington Coat Factory and other retail outlets.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled strollers and contact Graco to receive a free protective cover repair kit,” the statement said.

Hi Dawn, I’m not sure what kind of stroller you have but just in case it’s a Graco here is a story about the recall on 3 models. I know Ethan’s not using one right now but just in case for the new baby.
Love you,
Carol
