Once again, renowned Smartphone manufacturer HTC has utilised the increasingly popular Android operating system within one of its latest handsets the HTC Wildfire. Providing an impressive list of specifications, this appealing handset also retains a high level of aesthetic appeal.

In order to navigate the HTC Sense user interface, a 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen is utilised which also provides superb quality display of on screen imagery thanks to a pixel layout of 240x 320 which can display up to 16M colours beautifully. Several connectivity methods are employed by the HTC Wildfire in order to stay connected to the Internet and cellular networks. GPRS and EDGE are both provided in class 10 versions providing access to cellular networks. Access to the Internet relies primarily on 3G coverage, whereby an HSDPA connection provides speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second. In areas where wireless Internet routers are located, integrated Wi-Fi Technology acts to provide a faster Internet connection. A number of compatible hardware devices can be connected to both wirelessly and directly thanks to Bluetooth and micro USB connections.
As well as boasting the capability to shoot video footage, the integrated 5 mega pixel digital camera offers an easy to use method of taking great quality still images, and operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944 pixels. Its features include Autofocus, smile detection and an LED flash to overcome the obstacle of low lighting conditions. Geo-tagging is another included feature which functions thanks to GPS and automatically records the location at which a photo was taken.
The versatility of the Android operating system combines with a Qualcomm 528 MHZ processor to provide seamless switching between applications at lightning fast speeds. All sorts of users are catered for thanks to a long list of are included features and applications. A number of entertainment features range from a versatile media player, a stereo FM radio player and a selection of pre-installed games along with social networking integration and access to the Android Market where additional applications can be downloaded.
