Digital News Report – The San Francisco Giants won the World Series Monday night with a 3-1 score playing against the Texas Rangers. The Giants taking the 2010 World Series championship has prompted San Francisco city officials to schedule a victory parade this Wednesday.
The victory parade will end at San Francisco’s city hall and Mayor Gavin Newsom will honor the team by presenting them with a key to the city. The parade will start at 11 a.m. on Montgomery Street at Washington Street. From there the parade route will go south on Montgomery Street onto Market Street. Then the parade will go west to end at City Hall.
Because of the potential for large crowds, city officials are recommending that the public arrive early and to take public transportation to the parade route.
