Digital News Report – The average refinance mortgage rates were lower this week (see chart).
Refinance rates may be different from purchase mortgage rates. Citibank, PNC, Bank of America and Chase charge difference rates for refinancing. The rate will depend on the borrowers credit score, loan amount and the location of the home.
Citibank had a rate of 5.14% today. The bank also offered 15-year fixed loans and 5-year adjustable rate mortgages (ARMS). Their 15-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) was 4.66% and their 5-year ARM was 3.43%.
PNC Bank had a 30-year rate of 4.99%. The bank also had 15-year financing for 4.48%.
Bank of America had a rate of 4.95%. Their 5-year ARM rate was 3.186%.
Chase Bank had a refinance rate of 4.88%. Their 15-year rate was 4.29% and their 5-year ARM rate was 3.24%.
