Digital News Report – New dating websites are popping up nearly every month, but which ones are best. There is a new black dating website and a new app for Facebook.
Heartbroker, an online dating site, has introduced a new Facebook app that determines compatibility by incorporating feedback from trusted friends. Their goal is to provide accurate profiles and eliminate the scams.
“Every day there is a story about scamming or other criminal activity involving online dating sites,” the company said in a release. By incorporating the social network the company hopes to drastically reduce the ability for scammers to fool legitimate users.
Craig Robinson, CEO of Heartbroker, says that their patent pending technology can “leverage” one’s social connections to provide a broader picture of the individual. Are you really 20-years old? Only your friends know.
There is a new website directed at black singles. AfroDateLine.com is a professional service devoted to helping people connect. “For real relationships, romance, friendships, networking and more, AfroDateLine.com is the place for you”, the company said.
Last week Greg Waldorf, longtime CEO and member of the Board of Directors, resigned from eHarmony. Waldorf has been around since the beginning nearly. The website began operations in 1998 and Waldorf cam on-board in 1999. In 2006 he became CEO.
