Digital News Report – There are several health insurance companies chartered in the state of Florida including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and United Health One.
The older the customer, the higher the premiums will be paid. Being overweight or a smoker will also affect the cost of the insurance.
The POS OA Value 10000 plan from Aetna offers a $10,000 deductible with up to five doctor’s visits with a $40 co-pay. The co-insurance on the plan is 20% after the deductible is met. This Point of Service (POS) plan has premiums of only $76 for a 40-year old non-smoking man.
The Celtic Basic PPO 70/30 Plan had premiums of $147. This is a PPO plan with a $7,500 deductible, a 30% co-insurance and $30 office visits.
Humana had the Enhanced HSA/5000 individual plan for $162 per month. This is also a PPO plan. This enhanced plan is also a PPO. There is a $5,000 deductible with a 0% co-insurance and $0 office visits after the deductible is met.
Those are some of the lowest cost plans in Florida.
