Digital News Report – Time Warner has a new application for the iPad that gives customers the ability to watch TV in any room in the house (see channel list below). The steaming video comes through their Roadrunner or Earthlink Cable.
The service is currently not available through outside hot spots like Starbucks or McDonalds. Users need to be connected to their Internet connection.
The company says the service is free to their subscribers. Customers can watch their “most popular” national channels. There is also a mini-guide available through the iPad app.
Time Warner says this is the first of many apps they will coming out with. The company suggested that there will be apps for other tablet-like devices as well.
All customers have to do is download the app from the iTunes App Store. The next step is to launch the app and log in and select the programming.
