Digital News Report – The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are holding their second National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day which is this Saturday, April 30th. People with expired and unused prescription drug medications can bring it to participating locations for free disposal. There are over 4,700 locations nationwide that will be collecting any unwanted prescription medications between the hours of 10 am to 2 pm local time.
According to a study by the US Centers for Disease Control, one out of five high school students abused prescriptions drugs in 2010. Getting rid of prescription medication that isn’t being used or has expired could help prevent this problem.

You should properly dispose of prescription medications to prevent contaminating the environment. Prescription medications should not be flushed down toilets because they can contaminate the water.
