The event was hosted by Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic. Kelly Osbourne and 2003 Miss USA winner, Susie Castillo, provided off-the-stage commentary. Judges for last night’s competition was Tyson Chandler, Rocco DiSpirito, Mariel Hemingway, Penn Jillette, Lil Jon, Caroline Manzo, and Suzi Weiss-Fischmann.
Miss California wore an emerald green colored gown. The dress flared out in angular patterns at the bottom. Her hair color was brown with a red highlighting. When she was named the winner, she appeared very surprised to have won.
A performance included UK rapper Tinie Tempah who performed with Eric Turner.
Miss USA will go onto compete in the Miss Universe pageant, which will air on September 12, 2011 and be hosted in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
