Digital News Report – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) announced the start of nonstop flights between Detroit, Michigan, and Beijing, China. This is the third city in China that Delta is servicing from their Detroit location.
During the summer months, Delta will offer 44 weekly flights between Detroit and 6 cities in Asia. The flights will be offered five days per week. The airlines also offer nonstop flights from Detroit to Seoul, South Korea, and Tokyo and Nagoya, Japan.
Starting on July 1, 2011, the Beijing non-stop flight departs from Detroit at 9:25 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The return flight from Beijing departs at 6:55 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, starting on July 3, 2011.
