Digital News Report – Amazon.com announced that they would be extending their order deadline for FREE Super Saver Shipping through December 19, 2011 for the deadline to get standard shipping in time for Christmas.
Amazon also announced the other shipping deadlines beyond the free ground or postal shipping method. If you order on December 21, 2011, you have to order before 8 pm Pacific Standard Time (may have different cut off times depending on the item) in order to get it in time for Christmas.

On December 22nd, Amazon said that the order would have to be completed by 4:30 pm PST (dependent on the item) in order to arrive in time for Christmas. Some cities will be able to order on December 23 using Last-Minute Christmas Delivery, but is only available for Amazon Prime members. The last deadline is December 24 using local express delivery, is only in select cities, and is only while available.
Amazon Prime members pay a yearly fee and get discounted shipping rates, access to a collection of unlimited streaming movies and TV shows. Amazon Prime members that own the Amazon readers can also access a library of books that include new releases at no extra charge.
If for some reason you cannot get the present sent in time, Amazon has printable gift cards that can be ordered at anytime to be delivered via email.
