Digital News Report – Online shopping has been a popular way to get through the holiday shopping without having to fight the crowds at the stores. Many shoppers online know that getting free shipping is helpful to save money. Many retailers are having cut offs for shipping by ground in order for it to arrive in time for Christmas. Most of these cut offs times are for the continental US.
Amazon has extended their FREE super saver shipping until Monday, December 19, 2011. Always check to make sure that the item is going to arrive in time for Christmas. Some of the sellers are third party and may not be able to deliver in time for the holidays.
Sears has free shipping when you order $49 of qualifying items on their online store and use the coupon code ‘REALJOY’ at checkout. Sears is also having another 1-Day Saturday sale both in stores and offers online. Doorbuster deals this Saturday are at the store between 9 am – 1 pm. There are currently doorbuster deals online going on this Friday now until 3 pm CT. They also have December 19, 2011 as the free shipping cutoff for Christmas delivery.
Macy’s order deadline is on December 21, 2011 and offer free shipping on orders totaling $99 or more. They also will be having a Super Saturday Sale along with preview deals on Friday.
Toys R Us has their shipping deadline on December 20, 2011 and is offering free ground shipping on orders totaling $49 or more. Additionally the toy seller is also having a Weekend Madness Sale going on this Friday and Saturday 6 am – 1 am for most stores. In today’s newspaper ad insert, their flyer has a coupon that is for an extra 20 percent off on all items marked “Wow” in the advertisement.
Old Navy has free shipping on any order totaling $50 or more. The order deadline is the end of the day December 20, 2011 to get in time for Christmas. There is an additional 20 percent off online only using the coupon code ‘ONHURRY20’ which excludes everyday steals, sweaters, and weekend wonders $7 Jingle Jammies.
Walmart has the set the deadline for standard shipping to December 20, 2011 before 11:30 pm for getting in time for Christmas. Free shipping is for orders that total $45 or more that are marked “homefree.”
Target offers free shipping on eligible merchandise that totals $50 or more. However, they are offer free shipping on select items through December 17, 2011; this includes a variety of holiday toy items. To get the shipment in time for Christmas Target requires Seasonal Shipping be checked and the order must be place before the end of the day (ET) on December 20, 2011. Another free shipping promotion is to buy 3 of specific ELF cosmetic products and you can get free shipping through December 25, 2011. They have several Buy One Get One 50 percent off offers going on this Friday and Saturday. Also going on during these two days are bonus Target Gift Card offers for various items. The gift cars are at different amounts depending on the offer. If you use your Target REDcard debit or credit card to pay for the online order you can get free shipping with any order that qualifies. If you go to their store and buy $75 or more before sales tax you can get a free $10 Target GiftCard valid Friday, December 16 (7 pm – close) and on Saturday, December 17 (opening – noon).
JcPenney has free shipping on order totaling over $69 using the coupon code ‘SHIP69’. You can get free shipping to store with no minimums using the code ‘FREESHIP’. JcPenney online ordering Christmas arrival deadlines are December 20, 2011. Currently JcPenney is hosting a Christmas Countdown Sale with discounts throughout the store. In the Friday newspaper ad circular, there is a coupon for $10 off any purchase totaling $25 or more. This coupon is valid on Friday and Saturday only. The online coupon code for this is ‘TICKTOCK’. However, you can only use one coupon code per order, so pick the one that will give you the biggest savings.
There are many other online sales going on with the last push for ordering online to meet the shipping deadline. Most sales are this Friday and Saturday. Make sure that the online store can deliver it time for the holidays. If you are concerned that the gift would be late, you might want to consider upgrading the shipping or to buy the gift at a store.
