Digital News Report – Betty White has remained is the spotlight as a popular actress even well past her days when she played the role of Rose Nylund on “The Golden Girls” TV series back in the 1980’s. NBC will be paying tribute to Betty White tonight to celebrate her turning 90 years old on January 17, 2012.
NBC’s “Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl,” will air on Monday, January 16, at 8/7c pm on NBC. The all-star special will have Mary Tyler Moore, Hugh Jackman, Jay Leno, Amy Poehler, and Carol Burnett and more to celebrate her 90th birthday. There will be many more celebrities that will be there to wish Betty White a Happy Birthday.
Currently, Betty White has been acting on the “Hot in Cleveland” that airs on the TV Land channel. White stars along with Valerie Bertinelli in the TV series. “Hot in Cleveland” has won several awards. In 2011, Betty White has won a Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Lead in a Comedy Series. She also won the Screen Actors Guild Award for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.
