Digital News Report – Sears has launched their Presidents’ Day Sale for 2012, which is going on Sunday, February 19 through Tuesday, February 21. There is some big savings on mattresses, furniture and on much more. Closeouts and clearances are going on.
Sears has a Savings Pass coupon in their Sunday newspaper ad circular that will get the shopper an extra 20 percent off using a Sears Credit Card to pay, or 15 percent off with any other payment for clothing, accessories, and intimates. The same coupon will also get 15 percent off with Sears Card payment, or 10 percent off on any other payment for home fashions, housewares, luggage, fine jewelry, fragrance, cosmetics, mattresses, recliners, and Shaw rug gallery items. There are exclusions on the coupon.

Sears is advertising a mattress set closeout sale with discounts of 50 -60 percent off. A queen sized Sealy Brooks Point Select II mattress set is on sale for $399.88, which is discounted 60 percent off.
A variety of recliner chairs are discounted 50 percent off of regular price. A simmons Briston power recliner is on sale for $299.99. The La-Z-Boy Cantina bonded leather recliner is on sale for $599.99.
Shaw brand area rugs are also discounted 50 percent off. The Shaw Living Concepts Ashford Park and Beqir rugs are $349.99, which is half off.

Sears is advertising that all fitness equipment is on sale. The Nordic Track C900 treadmill is on sale for $899.99 – a savings of $600. The NordicTrack Audiostrider 990 Pro elliptical trainer is on sale for 4979.99 – a savings of $520.

If you pay with the Sears card you can get an additional 5 percent off on major appliances with some exclusions. There is up to 30 percent of on Kenmore brand appliances and up to 15 percent off on all other brands.

Spring fashions for men and women are discounted 40 – 50 percent off during Sears Presidents’ Day Sale event. Women’s Covington and misses dresses are 40 percent off and you can use the saving pas to save 15 – 20 percent more. A variety of Juniors’ fashions is also 40 percent off before the saving pass. Levi’s jeans for men are on sale for $39.99. Kids’ brands of Bongo, US Polo Assn., OshKosh, and Hello Kitty are 50 percent off and get an extra 15 – 20 percent off with the savings pass coupon.

All of women’s brand of I Love Comfort and Covington sandals are on sale for $24.99. Men’s Diehard workboots are 50 percent off. Men’s Wonderlite dress shoes and casual shoes are 40 percent off.
