Digital News Report – Starbucks announced that they would be offering Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee at select stores for a limited time. The stores with Starbucks Reserve™ coffee line will be offering the whole beans or in-store beverage of the Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee.
The coffee comes from Jamaica and is considered by Starbucks as “rare and exceptional.” The coffee beans are shipped in wooden barrels instead of burlap bags. The coffee beans are grown high in the mountains at 5,000 feet elevations.
The coffee beans are not cheap, a half-pound of whole bean Starbucks Reserve™ coffees starts at $30.00. A tall (12 fl. oz.) cup of the Starbucks Reserve™ brewed coffee starts at $4.50.
The Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee will be available at the select stores between July 12, 2011 and September 5, 2011. Supplies are limited and the coffee may sell out sooner.
