Digital News Report – A suicide bombing killed 88 people yesterday when a truck loaded with explosives drove onto a field during a volleyball match in the village of Shah Hason Khel in northwest Pakistan. There were hundreds of people on the scene when the bomb detonated.
Details are sketchy, but it is thought to be in retaliation for the village’s public stance against the Taliban. Bodies of players where thrown all over the place. According to reports, players were thrown “hundreds of feet” by the powerful explosion.
The explosion destroyed 20 nearby homes.
