Digital News Report – A supply of nebulizers has been donated to the people of earthquake-stricken Haiti by Reliable Respiratory of Norwood. Expediting the delivery was the International Medical Equipment Collaborative / IMEC (www.imecamerica.org) of North Andover which coordinates and handles logistics for donated medical equipment and supplies for developing countries.
Nebulizers provide medication in the form of a mist inhaled into the lungs, and are used in treating cystic fibrosis, asthma, and other respiratory diseases. IMEC’s Dan DiBurro called the donation “terrific.” Shown are (at left) Dan DiBurro of IMEC; and Vin Scifo, Reliable Respiratory’s Sales Manager. In the past year, IMEC shipped 60 sea containers to help the medically poor in Central and South America, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. Reliable Respiratory (www.ReliableRespiratory.com) is one of New England’s leading home respiratory equipment and services provider.
