I think that its getting pretty pathetic that you cant even get your child some over the counter medicine ! I just purchased the zyrtec for my son last week for his seasonal allergies
I had to throw away my 4oz bottle of bubble gum tylenol and a 4oz bottle of bubble gum zyrtec. How do I go about receiving a refund or voucher for replacements?
if anything happens to my children whom have ALL been on several of these you will pay. you do not mess with the lives of children. you have a serious problem if you do not realize that you can not mess up when it comes to a child.
know it!
you had better be sending out what we all need to know about what to watch for and how serious this is.
Does this include any of the store or generic brands?
There was no store or generic brands included in this recall. The FDA suggests buying generic until the store restocks the name brands involved in the recall.
I gave my 8 year old daughter the children’s motrin because she was crying of pain. She has sickle sell disease. I pray to god nothing wrong happens to her. I real be very upset and sad.
is it all the bottles or only certain numbers affected?
You can look to get a refund or a product coupon on the McNeil website (they manufacture all of the recalled products) –

I have a grandson and i think its ridiculuos the technology we have these days its awful always tylenol.
This is horrible to see that are kids have been taking these products, for years and now we have to wonder we will trust to ever give it to them again. We also have to wonder and be concern if we made are children feel worse then they already did by taking the medicine.
what do i do, cause i have the generic brand to motrin….
Does anyone know when the Children’s Motrin bottles were sold?
My son took the Children’s Motrin a few months ago and ended up in the hospital because his face swelled up. None of the medical people thought that it could have caused it, but now I don’t know. I think that I threw the bottle out just in case I was right. Hopefully there won’t be a next time, but if there is, I will write down the code before I throw it away
Please remember to return all medicine to local Pharmacies for proper disposal. If you throw it away (or) down the drain, it pollutes our water supply.
I think we all need to think long and hard about giving our children any over the counter medications, it’s obvious that we can no longer place our trust in these people that provide our precious children with these medications. My daughter was 2 years old and the pharmacist gave my child cough medicine with the dosage of codeine for a 13 year old after myself and my husband asking him if he was sure, since he was quite young and new, we were assured so upon following his direction we administered the medication only to end up in the ER getting her stomach pumped at that point I was told by the College of Pharmacist ” Well she didn’t die” nice ah, from that point on I am very consciousness what goes into my child’s body.
I heard that the “tiny particles” found in the medicine was due to the factory being contaminated with rats..is this true..if so I think thats disgusting that a company we trust with our childrens health could let this happen..if I find out this is the case I will never buy these products again
This is the most obsured thing I think I have EVER heard. Childrens and babies medicine is being recalled? What happened to the days of care and compassion and pride in workmanship? Your Q&A people clearly don’t have children and that is why this was let go I am sure of it. Anyone with a child would make sure that the product being produced and going to the shelves was perfect, and it should be!!!! You have failed to meet a standard and now created a doubt in all parents minds. How do you feel that you will rectify this issue of trust? Trust is something that is earned not given and the longevity of the medicine name is what gave you my trust, not you have nothing!
I would not trust the generics, either. Most of them are actually made in the same labs as the brand names.
Hmmmmmm I’ve been giving my daughter bubble gum GENERIC motrin the last few days for her cold (she’s 2). She woke up the last two mornings throwing up.
