Digital News Report – Verizon FiOS TV announced the expansion of online video programming for their customers. Time Warner has partnered with Verizon to add Turner Network’s TNT and TBS programming which are accessible for FiOS subscribers.
FiOS customers will be able to watch TNT and TBS beginning in June. It will not cost any more for the channels and they will have online access to popular programs that are on these Time Warner’s Turner networks. In addition to online access, FiOS will be working on delivering content to mobile devices.
FiOS customers can also watch online programs from CBS, MTV Networks, FOX News, Smithsonian Channel, the Hallmark Channel, and more.
FiOS TV is a service for delivery your television via fiber optic connection. There is also a FiOS Internet service from Verizon which is a super fast internet service for browsing online. The company offers bundle deals for both the FiOS TV and the FiOS Internet services. They currently offer a triple play promotion if you sign up with FiOS TV, FiOS Internet and unlimited telephone service for 2 years, you pay $89.99 per month plus taxes and fees.
FiOS TV offers 17,000 on demand titles for watching whenever you want without having to record it and watch it later. You can also record shows if you want too. Verizon’s FiOS Internet and TV services aren’t available at all locations yet.
