Digital News Report – Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE:TWC) and U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB) were two of the S&P big losers today.
Time Warner
Time Warner Cable dropped $2.74 (-4.97%) to $52.43 today. Over the past five days the share price has dropped 4.53 percent. Earlier in the month the company completed a “long term” agreement with Disney / ABC for programming.
The share price had been dropping since August 4th as a television commercial warning customers of a looming agreement deadline between the two companies. On August 31st the share price began heading back up. On Monday the share price started declining again.
US Bancorp
The share price of U.S. Bancorp dropped $0.59 (-2.54%) today to $22.67. The volume of trading was heavy and the stock price is near closer to its 52 week low than high.
The company is cautious about the U.S. recovery. The bank said that loan demand may remain slow. One report said the bank “dampened” hopes for a dividend increase.
