Digital News Report – Although Donald Trump has not officially announced his candidacy for President of the United States, he has been posturing and hasn’t dismissed the idea.
Besides mastering the New York real estate business, he has done very well at marketing his brand. This may benefit him if and when he announces his plans.
In 2000 he tried to make the Reform Party ticket for President. His positive views on gays in the military were opposed by Pat Buchanan who won that party’s nomination. During that campaign he spoke out against American free trade policies and limits on campaign contributions.
He is known for contributing to both major parties. He contributed to both John McCain and Ted Kennedy, among others.
He is in favor of a strong illegal immigration policy. He told Larry King that illegals are committing crimes and killing people. As a citizen of Arizona he wouldn’t mind police pulling people over to check for citizenship. In a round-about way he said he supported SB 1070.
Today the Times reported that he has invited lawmakers from Arizona to visit New York. He supports the birther movement to require President Obama to produce his original birth certificate. The President has already produced a copy issued to him by the state of Hawaii, but the state may still hold the original.
Trump is pro-life but has not discussed what the penalty should be for having an abortion. Originally, he said he was pro-choice but later reviewed his position with doctors. He now says he is pro-life and favors a ban on abortions.
He is anti-gun control, anti-foreign aid, and wants the U.S. out of Iraq and Afghanistan.
A recent Gallup Poll found that 47 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of Trump while 43 percent have a favorable view.

Trump for President 2012!!!
Donald Trump for president…he is a successful business man..he knows how to keep an organization running in optimum efficiency. His record has proven his capabilities and he would be more than qualified to be head and leader of the free world. He has common sense and business sense that enables him to keep all the media hoopla at bay and keeps all the naysayers speechless. How can anyone doubt his excellent business savvy and ability to speak in a smart yet reasonable no frills manner. He is not out to impress with a big cute smile and fancy rhetoric, he tells it like it is. The truth of the matter…America is going downhill due to lax immigration policies and a promotion of diversity and acceptance. Unity and cohesiveness are what make a building stand tall and proud without falling. It is the cornerstone of all that has made America great…unified as Americans yet respecting the fact that we are all here to live harmoniously while maintaining rights to free speech. English is the language of the states and should be expected to be spoken by all who desire to be American…all immigrants must assimilate through the process of adopting the American way of loyalty to the American flag and all that it stands for, united we stand, divided we fall. The countries with the least strife are the ones with the greatest homogeneity. Immigrants who come here and other factions who may be wanting to maintain their own cultures need to abide by the laws set forth by this country, the land of the free. Therefore, Donald Trump, a born US citizen, is the best qualified candidate to run for presidency. He embodies all that America represents, the freedom to pursue dreams and the sky is the limit. He would gain the respect of other nations through his undying devotion to his company, the United States of America. He is a great teacher and leader. He is smart, strong, yet compassionate. You have my vote Mr. Trump. Through your hard work and determination, you have built a huge empire that has employed many and set a standard for others to follow. Congratulations for a job well done!
When I first watched the Apprentice, I thought Trump was a jerk. But the more I watched the more I realized that he’s just a smart guy who takes business seriously. What Trump is saying about the trade deficit with China and ending the wars in the Middle East is great. What’s more, he’s the only one articulating the idea of “America First”. He wants to make our country great again and he’d have my vote in 2012.
