Digital News Report – The Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation service are seeking teachers to share their knowledge for their upcoming Fall class session. In order to participate in teaching you have to fill out a proposal form and gain their approval.
The Fall class sessions begin the week of September 12 and go through the the week of December 16. They are looking for one-day workshops or longer four-to-six week sessions. The Parks and Recreation department recommends scheduling classes during after school hours, evening, and weekend days during the Fall.
The class ideas can be for all age groups and can include activities such as dance, art, music, fitness, and even outdoor activities. Teaching a foreign language, cooking, or even computer classes are OK.
They also said that they are interested in programs for 11 – 14 years old kids covering movement and expression, theater, web design, science, engineering and robotics. This would be an after-school enrichment program offered at the Branciforte Middle School.
