Congressman Farr votes in favor of Military Funding Bill

Digital News Report – Congressman Sam Farr (D-Carmel) voted in favor of the House Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Subcommittee funding bill yesterday. The funding bill would bring $46 million to local military locations along the central coast. There is a total of $72.5 billion worth of funding outlined in this bill.

The local project spending outlined in this bill includes the following:

  • $3 million for a new general instruction facility at the Army Defense Language Institute
  • $6.1 million for constructing the Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems Facility at Camp Roberts
  • $32 million to improve the electric, water, and sewer systems at Camp Roberts
  • $5.2 million improving Fort Hunter-Ligget’s small arm range.

    • The House of Representatives will be voting on the bill next.
